I came across this on another forum I participate in and was entertained by the gesture. If it doesn't work afterward, send them home. If it works, keep them, they're OK. If it works **better**, they're probably engineer material. Applies to just about anything mechanical, and I have yet to find a counterexample. There's something to that ability to *see* how things work, and feel how parts fit together. It's not something that's anywhere near easy to teach, and some people are just born with it. Very few, in my experience. ;-)
Sounds a lot like something that should be thought of when contemplating any major R&R or swaps? What was the first thing you can remember taking apart, that you were able to put back together and have it work, or work better?
